Dear customers,
Christmas time is here - a time for peace, contemplation and... electrifying surprises? Yes, you read that right! But before we get to a little anecdote from the world of ESD protection, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a successful New Year.
Thank you for your trust and cooperation this year. It is a pleasure for us to support you in your projects and to develop innovative solutions together.
One spark too much, a different kind of Christmas story
Christmas time in electronics manufacturing...
Our colleague Max wanted to end the year on a festive note. With a Santa hat on his head and a tin of home-baked Christmas cookies, he entered the workplace in a good mood. But then it happened: a barely perceptible spark - and suddenly not only the festively decorated Christmas tree was flashing, but also the device display at the production station!
What had happened?
The reason was obvious! The Santa hat was made of simple polyester without any ESD protection. The static charge in the dry winter air - an often underestimated time of year for ESD risks - led to a dangerous discharge. What began as a nice gesture ended with hectic troubleshooting and an important "aha" moment for the entire team - ESD protection should never be neglected, even at Christmas time.
What can we learn from this?
Small details can have a big impact - especially in electronics production. The winter drought further increases the risk of electrostatic discharge, as the humidity in heated rooms is often extremely low. That's why we remain vigilant and are committed to ensuring that ESD protection is uncompromising in the new year. This is the only way to ensure smooth, safe and efficient production - regardless of whether it's hot in summer or dry in winter. That's why we will continue to strive for the best ESD protection in the coming year, so that your production remains safe and efficient.
